Cisco Anyconnect Firefox

A while ago, we had an issue with SSL AnyConnect. The issue was encountered on a Cisco Firepower with ASA image (IOS 9.13) and for some reason it only shows up when using Chrome. Any other browser didn’t seem to have this issue; we’ve tested Firefox and Internet Explorer.

If you are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, this will fail, and prompt you to download the client for your operating system: (For Mac OSX users, the link will display as Mac OS instead of Windows Desktop) For some permitted users, specifically faculty or staff members, Cisco AnyConnect can be downloaded through My Apps in My ASU. If the AnyConnect VPN software is installed on your computer, refer to the connection instructions below: VPN Connection for Windows; VPN Connection for Mac; Note: If the latest version of the software is not installed on your computer, the VPN system will automatically download it and install it. The process should take less than two minutes.

The issue

  1. Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client provides this through a mobility centric cross-platform application. It provides a VPN and encrypted web connection for any device. All of this is sent into a single observable private network.
  2. I have the same problem running my Firefox 31.2.0 on the esr update channel on a Windows 7 machine. Every time I switch wifi-networks or use CISCO VPN connection, firefox does not connect to the internet. A restart fixes the issue immediately. I came here looking for a solution, and even looked at bug 939318 where I did find a patch.

We couldn’t view the normal AnyConnect page. Instead, the page was displayed as:

<html><script>document.location.replace(‘/+CSCOE+/logon.html?tgroup=GROUP’)</script></html>

However, if you paste the URI “/+CSCOE+/logon.html?tgroup=GROUP” manually behind the URL, you will get the correct page.

The solution

The solution was to disable HTTP headers within the webvpn. Is the star wars the old republic for mac. For this you need to use the CLI. The commands used to resolve this are shown below.

Cisco Anyconnect Extension Firefox

FIREWALL# Configure terminal
FIREWALL(config)# Webvpn
FIREWALL(config-webvpn)# No http-headers
FIREWALL(config-webvpn)#

Cisco anyconnect mozilla

Afterwards you can see that the page will redirect as usual.

Running Windows 10Last updated killed the FirefoxI click in the FF icon, FF starts then it closesFrom time to time it asks for a refresh… I refresh…. Then it closesReinstall did not work at all

There is a hole in my soul
