Cannot browse internet when Cisco Anyconnect (VPN) is active I’ve been using the same router for over a year and used to connect to the vpn with no issues. I moved apartments and changed from internet 75 to 100, all while using the same router. 1.check if you are getting the internet connection 2. If yes search for host file in c drive and open in notepad, below is the common location. C: Windows System32 drivers etc.
After connecting to the VPN client, Internet connectivity stops working (including network shared drives). The network connection may show up as 'Local Connection Only.'
These steps are adapted from: http://msdynamicstips.com/2011/06/27/vpn-connection-disconnects-internet-connection/.

Instead of using the Start button, begin with the Search tool. The rest of the Windows 7 steps will work for Windows 8.

Search through the menu and click Cisco AnyConnect Security Mobility; Method 2: On the rightside of the Start Button click into the Search field; Type: Cisco Any Connect Security Mobility (You may only need to type Cisco before Windows displays the application) Click on the application to start it. Right-click the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client log, and select Save Log File as AnyConnect.evt. Note: Always save it as the.evt file format. If the user cannot connect with the AnyConnect VPN Client, the issue might be related to an established Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session or Fast User Switching enabled on the client PC.
Webstorm crack for mac. A customer did submit this tidbit:
My computer had a software named Connectify which is used for creating ad-hoc. And in the adapter settings there was an option regarding connectify. I disabled it and everything worked fine.
Technology Services note: Any software that allows you to share your computer's network connection with others will interfere with the VPN. Uninstall or disable the software, reboot your computer, and try the VPN again.
I had a rented comcast router plugged to my time capsule. The time capsule was in bridge mode, and I was using its wireless network. With this setup, I could use the Cisco AnyConnect to connect to VPN normally. I recently purchased a modem from Arris (SB6141) to replace the rented modem. Since it is not a router, I cannot use the time capsule in bridge mode. Then I set to DHCP and NAT. Since then, every time I try to use the AnyConnect, I get the following message:

'The VPN connection to the selected secure gateway requires a routable IPv4 physical adapter address. Please move to an IPv4 network and retry the connection or select a different secure gateway.'
I have tried to change some options on my time capsule after some searching on Google, but with no success. I did not want to go further and mess things even further. Hopefully somebody can help.
